How to ... write your own text

If we read this map from top to bottom and from right to left, we can compose some very simple sentences that will explicit not only the structure of the text "The Middle Ages" but also the main ideas inside it.

• The period between 1066 and 1485 is called the Middle Ages.
• During the Middle Ages:
• two languages, Norman French and Anglo-Saxon, became one English language. 
• Geoffrey Chaucer wrote a series of poems in English 
• In Scotland many people spoke Gaelic .
• Castles were built in England and Ireland.
• England was a trading nation.

It is wise to practise this simple text and acquire a certain fluency in repeating it.
